West Stoughton is a small hamlet up of around
17 houses and is one of a trio: West Stoughton; Middle Stoughton;
and Stoughton Cross. It is about a mile from the village of
Wedmore, where Alfred the Great signed the peace treaty with
Guthram in 898AD.

and follow these directions ...
From Junction 22 M5
Exit at junction 22 and take the A38 towards Bridgwater,
shortly after (50yrds) turn left to Mark. Proceed for 1 mile
and take the B3139 to Wedmore. Follow this road into Wedmore
and just before the church turn left signposted to Stoughton
and Weare (Lascots Hill). Go past Wedmore Golf Club on your
right and then take the second turning on the left. Approximately
1 mile further on you will see Poplar Farm on your right-hand
side. There is ample car-parking space at the back of the
house.
Coming from any other direction
On reaching Wedmore take the B3139 towards Burnham on Sea,
find St Marys Church and take the next right, sign posted
to Stoughton and Weare. Go past Wedmore Golf Club on your
right and then take the second junction on your left. Approximately
1 mile further on you will see Poplar Farm on your right-hand
side. There is ample car-parking space at the back of the
house.
