General Information
 |
The dwelling house was part built in the early 17th century and
was formerly an Ale House. The rest was added in the 18th century
in the Somerset Longhouse style. A cow house(now redundant), stable
and hay store were reachable without going outside, so the farmer
could go about his business without getting cold in the winter. Eight
years ago, we totally renovated the house (a pictorial history is available
for guests to see) and the loft and barn have been exposed to show off their
character. It has been said that the three long beams in the house were once
part of the masts of sailing ships. |
